"Dry hire" means you are renting the equipment (the trailer) only. You are responsible for providing the truck horse, a qualified driver, all operational costs like diesel and tolls, and ensuring you have adequate insurance coverage for the trailer.
As the operator, you are responsible for daily and weekly maintenance checks, including tyre pressure, greasing of moving parts, and checking the hydraulic system. Major scheduled servicing is handled by us, but day-to-day operational upkeep is the client's responsibility.
No, for dry hire contracts, the client is responsible for arranging adequate insurance coverage for the hired trailer for the full duration of the rental period. This must include cover for damage, theft, and public liability.
