We run fully-compliant long-haul side tipper haulage from South Africa to the DRC via Zambia — serving Lubumbashi and the Katanga copper-cobalt belt, the richest mining region in Africa.
The DRC's Katanga (Haut-Katanga / Lualaba) region holds the world's biggest copper and cobalt deposits, and almost all of it moves by road. The route from South Africa runs north through Zambia's Copperbelt and crosses into the DRC at Kasumbalesa — the busiest mining border in Central Africa — feeding the mines and smelters around Lubumbashi, Likasi, Kolwezi and Fungurume.
From copper and cobalt ore and concentrate to lime, sulphur, acid-grade feed and mining consumables, we put a reliable, fully-supported combination on this demanding multi-country route — with permits, customs paperwork and insurance handled across every border.

Full maintenance plus comprehensive GIT and Public Liability cover valid for multi-country movement — all in one monthly rate.
Even the long multi-country run to Katanga doesn't change the rate. You cover diesel, tolls and border fees — we cover the rest, 24/7.
The DRC run crosses several borders — we manage the documentation through Zambia and into Katanga at Kasumbalesa.
SADC and COMESA cross-border road transport permits and foreign-operator documentation arranged for transit through Zambia into the DRC.
Manifests, transit bonds and DGDA customs clearance coordinated with agents at Kasumbalesa so loads clear into Katanga cleanly.
COMESA Yellow Card third-party insurance and SADC-compliant transit documents kept current for the full multi-country route.
Loads kept within Zambian and Congolese axle-mass limits to avoid penalties at the weighbridges along the corridor.
The DRC run is the toughest cross-border lane in the region. We pair experienced long-haul drivers with fully-documented combinations so your copper, cobalt and mining loads reach Lubumbashi, Likasi and Kolwezi reliably.

Yes. Tipper Truck Hire SA runs cross-border 34 ton side tipper haulage into the DRC, serving the Copperbelt mines. Every hire is all-inclusive — truck, trailer, an experienced cross-border driver, full maintenance and comprehensive insurance.
Around the DRC our side tippers move copper, cobalt and mining bulk. The side-discharge design keeps the centre of gravity low and offloads safely and quickly on uneven mine and site ground.
Hire is billed monthly: a full horse-and-trailer combination is R70,000, a horse on its own is R40,000 and a side tipper trailer on its own is R30,000. A refundable deposit of R30,000 applies and VAT at 15% is added to all hire.
